Mission

To optimize the delivery of quality promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health services to the community of Matlosana.

This Department has the following sections within it

Administration and Support.
Primary Health Care Services.

Service Delivery

1. Administration and Support

The Administration and support function is responsible for effective administration of the department as a whole.
It also acts as a complaint centre for the department on health
services issues.
Rendering services on indigent and pauper burials.

2. Primary Health Care

It is responsible for a comprehensive health care and ensuring rational drug use and essential service.
Health promotion and implementation of a comprehensive HIV/AIDS; STI and TB (HAST) strategy in collaboration with the community and other role players are key focus area.
The City of Matlosana has 16 clinics of which 4 (four) of them are Community Health Centre one in each local area, operating 24 hours as they have maternity services.
